Khanqah-e-moazzamiya, Moazzamabad Sharif, Tehsil Kot momin, District Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan is a graat centre for islamic studies, tasawwuf and spiritual learning. it belongs to the famous and popular chishti nizami sufi order.
It was founded by Hazrat Khawja Moazzam uddin(1832-1907), who was one of the most prominent Khalifas(deputies) of Hazrat Khawja Shams Uddin Sialvi(1799-1883). The graceful Mousleum of Khawja Moazzam Uddin is the beating heart of Khanqah-e-Moazzamiya.
Hazrat Khawja Muhammad Husain Moazzami(1899-1942) and his great son Hazrat Khawja Ghulam Sadeed Uddin Moazzami(1918-1989) were the second and third spiritual masters/Shaikhs of the Khanqah. At the present Hazrat Khawja Ghulam Hamid Uddin Ahmad Moazzami(1936) is the Shaikh of Khanqah-e-Moazzamiya.
The Khanqah has produced a great number of religious scholars, Sufi masters, Spiritual intelectuals, literary figures, famous Calligraphers, Poets, Writers, Artists and impressing speakers. The publication wing of the Khanqah is very strong, active and has published many books on Islam, Sufism and literature. It also publishes a quarterly magazine "Al-Sadeed". |
